Technical Director
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Technical Director provides vision and leadership for the AMGA Mountain Guide Program (MGP) and the AMGA Climbing Instructor Program (CIP), and oversees the organization's risk management systems. This role directly supervises the Assistant Technical Director, the Climbing Instructor Program Manager, and the Instructor Team, while collaborating closely with administrative staff in the program department. As one of AMGA's two representatives to the IFMGA, the Technical Director plays a key role in advancing the organization's international engagement. The Technical Director supports the Executive Director in maintaing the overall health of the organization and executing the AMGA Strategic Plan, with a focus on delivering high-quality programming with positive student outcomes.
